Myofascial Release is a whole body treatment which seeks to release restrictions in the fascia that have developed due to injury, trauma, emotional trauma and/or bad postural habits.
Fascia is a type of connective tissue which forms a connected and uninterrupted network throughout the body. This fascial web spreads three dimensionally throughout the body and enfolds and embraces all other soft tissue and organs.
Injury and trauma cause the fascia to bind down over time and exert pressure on the organs and bony structures; this in turn leads to pain and dysfunction in the body.
Myofascial techniques are gentle, safe and highly effective in reducing pain, restoring motion and optimal function in the body.
Myofascial Release can help people with:
- Backache, sciatica and pelvic pain
- Sporting injuries
- Frozen shoulder
- Tight and tender muscles
- Chronic pain and tension
- Carpel tunnel
- Headaches and TMJ disorder
- Injury and surgical scarring
- Unresolved emotional and physical issues
- Myofascial trigger point pain
- And many others
