I have been working in complementary therapy since 1993 when I qualified in Holistic Aromatherapy, followed by training in additional massage techniques and clinical aromatherapy.
I was first introduced to the Bowen Technique when a friend took part in a national Bowen study for people with asthma. There was a big improvement in his symptoms and after having Bowen treatment myself for an ongoing neck problem I decided to learn the technique. I qualified in 2004 with the European College of Bowen Studies (ECBS) and Bowen now occupies most of my practice.
The technique is easy on me as well as my clients and I'm able to see more people and deal with potentially more complex health issues including helping people for whom even light massage may be unsuitable. I love its gentle, holistic approach.
I am a full member of the Bowen Therapy Professional Association and serve on the committee.
Having practised yoga intermittently for many years, I discovered Dru Yoga which is a particularly safe, gentle and flowing form of yoga. I decided to train as a teacher and qualified in 2010. I offer one to one lessons at the Ishta Centre and periodically teach classes and workshops in the area.
If you would like to talk to me about any aspect of treatment or are unsure about which approach would be best for you please don't hesitate to contact me to discuss things.
